SCT SF3

I am looking to buy a used sct sf3 tuner to delete my EGR and I have found one for sale, but I don't want to buy it of it won't work on my truck because it has been used already. The guy who is selling it said that he had it on his 06 f350 6.0 and I'm going to put it on my early 04 f350. I don't know enough about tuners to know what to look for as far as them being paired or married already. Any tips or help will be more than appreciated. Thanks

It should say unlocked and should also have a set number of unlocks left. It will work for your truck if the tuner is unlocked and has at least 1 unlock left. Turning te egr off might take custom tunes though...

Not sure how to post this any other way.

What to look for when buying used SCT for 6.0

Look at the stickys on the 6.0 general discussion, about buying a used SCT

You can turn off the egr, in canned tunes. I have done it with my 3015.

You could......but with the epa cracking down, a lot of the manufactures dont offer that option anymore. If you had a old tuner and never update it you could.
that being said I havnt messed with the canned tunes on my sct in a while so I cant say for sure if sct still does it or not.

I just purchased mine new, about 2 months ago, and it is an option. But, they could have had an update since then.
