Power Steering Problem

I just bought a 2006, 6.0 from a guy and the power steering is leaking. He says that he replaced the pump a year or two back but the store he bought if from (Napa Autoparts/or Advanced auto parts, can't remember which one) is known for pumps that leak, which he found out after he installed it. So now I have a leaking power steering pump which I plan to replace. Is there any pumps/brands I should be looking for...aka one that WON'T leak....

Not to sound course...but why did you posts this in the performance parts section?

A new pump from the dealer would be wise, but pricey... check tousley maybe. I'd recommend a hydro assist setup if you have larger tires or plan on going to larger tires. It takes most of the strain off the gear box. Psc makes a good kit, I've heard a couple issues with their gear box rebuilds, but otherwise good quality stuff. I think their super duty kit is like 6-700 bucks. Might not be relative to your leaking gear box, but at least its performance related now hahaha.

Not to badmouth advance auto, but I used to work there years ago. Lots of those reman items are done as cheap as possible to stay competitive price wise. We used to have tons of issues with their alternators and starters. I once tested 3 alternators in a row right off the shelf that were bad. I know they've changed manufacturers since then. I think Napa uses pretty good parts, but if you can get a new one from the dealer id go that way.

I've stripped the steer gear rock crawling before. Ford only sells remans now for $320. I have since added hydro assist. I have heard good things about red head.
