Modification questions
Hey guys, I just recently acquired myself an '04 F350 with the 6.0 L and a 6 spd manual transmission, 3.73 gears, 4x4
So I'm not much of a big diesel guy by heart, started with gassers and worked my way into my first diesel, which was a 7.3L. I know that motor pretty good, but now I've got this 6.0 so I'm kinda clueless, wondering if some of you could help me out. I've been reading the forum and the SCT X3 or whatever seems to be the most popular chip--now mind you I've got a stock motor, with stock exhaust and intake, plus a 6 spd manual transmission--what is the best tuner/chip out there for a stick? Also curious if I should bother whacking the muffler/CAT or monkeying with an intake... Any help is appreciated! |

hey bud welcome to the Org and congrats on the new rig... first off i would get gauges... i would not run any programmer without a set of gauges.... after that i would recommend a 4" TB exhaust and then the sct xcal 3 with custom tunes.... you dont really need an intake since the stocker will flow enough air for that setup... let me know if you have any questions -Raul |
