Yes it needs to be tuned for the Stage2. Do you have stock injectors?

I would still get it tuned. I have the stage 2 at the moment. I love the turbo. I am also running Matt's tunes.

That Stage 2 has a lot of potential, even with stock injectors.

I think any of the bigger name tuners have at least taken a crack at tuning the Stage 2. My advice, is let the tuner who's file ran most to your liking with your stock turbo, and have that tuner re-write the file for the larger Stage 2. This will allow other aspects of the tuning, particularly the transmission, to be to your expectations.

If you end up needing a little more fuel down low to get that 'charger to light off - find yourself a light to moderate FICM tune.

Well I think the most important thing to find out is what you are looking for in a new tune. The stage 2 has had many great results from many different people and tuners.

Is there something wrong with your tune?
Are you just looking for more power?
Are you having any issues like surging, high egts, etc?
Do you daily drive it?
Are you looking for a better tow tune?
Have you tried any other tune...

Gearhead SRL - great driveablility, great power, shifts great
IDP Extreme X - super powerful, pulls hard, light switch effect, tranny shifts hard to account for extra power
TSD - quickest spooling I have driven, very little smoke, shifts great, kinda week up top IMO
bgraiders323 and Shane Vogele like this.

I am running a stage 2 with 175/stock and I have fallen in love with php's 140x it's perfect hands down. Needed no tweaks and runs awesome.
