SCT Tune Question

I can get a pretty good deal on a SCT xcal3 from a dealer close enough that I can be there in 30 minutes and have it in my hands. My question is about tunes. Once I get the xcal3 can I get custom tunes from Innovative or DJ or do I have to buy the tuner from them too?

you can get anyones tunes pretty sure, i love my new tunes. Dont get the econ, i get better mileage in street. just my thoughts

You should be able to buy and download tunes from anyone willing to sell them to you. But you'll probably pay more for the tunes and tuner in the long run. It'd probably be cheaper to buy the tuner and custom tunes all in one shot from one dealer.

Bought buy Live wire from DSTRBD (Performance truck parts) and called Vivian and they sent me their tunes, no problem. I don't think I paid more for the tunes since I did not buy the Livewire from them. I'm sure you can ask it shouldn't be a problem. Love the Livewire

DFuser has a great price ($399 w/unlimited tunes) on the SCT X3. His tunes and customer service is awesome!

well now it seems I have a decision to make. I found a really good deal on a sct xcal3 and gauge combo deal for the wifes 04. But I also found a killer deal on wheels and tires for my 99. superswamper ssr's, helo maxx 8's and lugs all with less than 1000 miles on them since new for 1000 dollars even. I want those wheels but they will suck fuel and I was hoping the sct would help her mpg's. What to do!!! I can't afford both right now.
