05 CC not as Potent as 04 SC with SCT???

I just got my custom tunes from Vivian and installed them on my new 05 and the seat of the pants feeling isn't what it was on my 04. Differences in the trucks are as follows;

05 F-250 4x4 Crew Cab
Stock Exhaust with Cat delete muffler still in place. EGR up pipe welded shut with EGR shut down via the SCT.

04 F-350 4x4 Extended Cab with 4 inch Turbo Back Magnaflo system with Cat delete. EGR still functioning.

Can the exhaust make that much of a difference or is it in my head. To give you an example, I could not launch the 04 in 2 wheel drive without breaking the tires loose. The 05 gets loose but nothing like the 04

What gearset does the 04 have? If its lower than the 3.73s in your 05 that might be it. Compare them top end and milage wise.

Both have 3.73's. The 05 is limited slip.

Send a message via AIM to Maintain
The 04 usually responds the best to programming then either the 03, or 05+ trucks. Has to do with the FICM and Turbo

What about the stock muffler, is it very restrictive? I assume the turbo would spool quicker without it.
