Yeah thanks for the replys, I've been reading about it and I guess the only thing I have to confirm now is the strategies, the unit is unlocked with 5 unlocks left and it's the older x3 pn 3000 with the ability to hold custom and canned tunes... So maybe I'll get lucky and the tunes will work but either way I wanted to add another tune so I'll probably just get this anyways... Is the only way to get the strategy off the sct or I can I read something off the computer.. I have no tuner or anything to look now unless there's a sticker somewhere that has it?
Before you load the SCT to your truck, go to the SCT website and update the X3 to the newest firmware and tune revision. Don't go by the SCT part number (X3). To determine which X3 you have, go by the serial number. The older and newer X3 both use 3000 as the PN or model.
The only way to get the strategy is thru the OBDII port. There is no stickers or physical ID to determine the strategy. Of course SCT will read strategy, so will some scan tools like Autoenginuity and snap-on.
