Direct drive solenoid?

Hey can some one tell me if i need to get one of those performance 3-5 direct drive solenoid? I was at a stop light the other night and lined up with a buddy and I spooled the turbo up to boost launch all i can say is wow for a canned tune the truck really runs. but anyways it seemed to shift fine but once it tried to shift out of 3rd into 4th or 5th however the sequence works it was like stuck and rmps went up to around 3500 and wouldnt shift so i let off the throttle and once it slowed down it acted fine.. truck only has 96k and has never been abused until that night. other than that truck drives fine and shifts like it should, just scared to get on it real hard like that again. I was told the factory solenoid cant pump enough fluid to keep up with my programmer and thats why it did that so thought i would ask on here. Thanks

FWIW I put one in mine when it started to flare and it gave me 6 more months before it totally blew up.

Good luck getting anything from gogo.
if you had JUST tuned the truck it may not have learned yet.
Flare ever now and then is somewhat "normal" if it happens a lot or you get a flashing tow haul light its time to worry.

you can use a epc solenoid in place of the dd, there are several threads on here about it.

Doug Gilbert aka Gogo Diesel is a freaking thief and a liar and not anybody you want to do business with That's why vendors are dropping his stuff and he's being sued by a couple of them. He ripped me off for my intake when I tried to buy a ported intake from him. There's a guy that's been waiting for an intake he's paid for for over 2.5 years. I wouldn't urinate on Doug Gilbert if he was on fire.
