One thing I don't understand is, a bunch of people are saying "give them a chance" Well how many should I give? This is the third let down in a row! If it happened once that's fine I'm not gonna be a baby & announce it the first time it doesn't go smoothly, and I didn't. But repeatedly?

Let me just get this straight, if your a prefered vendor nobody can voice there disapproval with your service?

I'm having a hard time grasping that.

I just want to figure out how to get a hood oranament like you got on your truck there Ford Girl. I also own a small business and understand you can't please them all. You appear to me a pleaseable person, though there are some that you cannot obviously please. You have to do what you have to do. Express your frustrations to DJ's and if he doesn't do anything about it then you have to handle it anyway you see fit. To include bashing their AZZ on a "public forum" but exhaust all options first. I am going to give DJ a shot for what I am doing to my F550 and hope for the best.

Ever thought maybe its becuase you are a girl ;P LOL

yes I have lol. And believe me I'm patient but I also know how to inform people I'm serving as well. Dealerships try to screw me everytime and everytime I catch them. I do all maintenance, oil changes etc on my truck but my jack broke and I desperately needed my tires rotated so I brought it to the "best service" dealership in the area, Monroe Ford. They insisted to do the 55,000 mile service, top everything off, tires rotated etc. So after 20 minutes of waiting (kinda short if you ask me) and $145 later, my trucks done. I go home in the pouring rain and decide to change my air filter when the rain stops... First I notice my coolant's below min and it doesn't even look like the oil filter cap was touched (dusty). Then I check my tires and the same brand new choppy tire with most tread is still in the same spot, as well as all the others. Sooo I call them explaining everything and I bring it back in, this time waiting 45 minutes for them to service it, and I got my $145 refunded. But geez, it's amazing how they screw people. Or just the women?

I know I'm a newb on this site, but I've been on other diesel boards for a few years and I've had quite a bit of experience with different vendors who have SCT tunes. Included in that group are DJ and Vivian. I've known them for going on two years.....

First let me say that I support your decision to post up your experience. Its your right and you have the freedom to exercise it. People should hear the good AND the bad about who they might be doing business with.

And I know it was said jokingly, but I wanted to emphasize that you weren't treated differently because you're a woman. I needed to ask DJ a question yesterday and couldn't get through to him. At all. We finally caught up with each other this morning and needless to say, he's got quite a bit going on right now.

I'd also like to share one of my experiences with DJ: he sent me a file that wasn't where I thought it should be so I called him and told him what was going on. He invited me to meet him at the track, and in-between his own passes and tuning and troubleshooting Mini-Me, he dialed my truck in. I knocked a solid two seconds off my e.t. and spun all four tires off the line for the first time ever. I asked DJ what I owed him for his time and he wouldn't accept payment. We ran out of daylight and DJ told me that there was still more to pull from the tune and said that we'd need to get together sometime in the future. A few months later, a group of us had scheduled some dyno time at a place 2 hours from DJ's house. Regardless, I asked him if he would come out to dyno my truck. He accepted, and again wouldn't take payment from me for his time. He and Vivian spent four hours on the road round trip and quite a few hours on the dyno (some dyno problems slowed things down) and wouldn't take a dime.

Like I said, I've bought tunes from most of the companies out there and I'm running DJ's for a reason. Incredible power, great drivability, and awesome customer service. I know you haven't experienced that yet, but believe me when I tell you that you just caught DJ and Vivian at a particularly busy time.

Just my $.02, and I hope it helped a little.

I agree with what you are saying and it in no means was I trying to say that is what was happening with DJ at all. Unfortunately it hppns all to often in the open market place that someone tries to take advantage of a women because she is just the "a woman". They are no different than a man in most cases, just better looking most times. I intend to give DJ's a shot at my business and I like to talk a little trash when ever I get a chance.

Hope all goes well and everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day and remember what the day is all about and that it isn't just a day off.

I'm with ya! I could tell you were joking

Just wanted to make sure someone else could figure it out too. Even if it had to be spelled out for 'em.
