lope tune questions-

Does the lope tune have to be smoky? What I mean by that is can a lope tune be written that doesn't belch "coal smoke" every time you hit the pedal?
Is the tune hard on the tranny? Thanks just wondering!

If what I was told long ago is true, I don't think you can drive it around with that tune. I believe it's solely a funny tune.... But I could very well be wrong! Lol

I've heard it only lopes at idle. Once you get going the truck operates only.

Well to me the smoke like a freight train will be a killer for the deal. As much krap as I give the guys around town for that they would roast me if they ever saw me doing that.

The sound of the lope will vary with each truck and how it reacts with each truck. I have one from Eric at ID and one from Josh at RCD. You can drive with the lope tune...its fine. However with Eric's I needed to have him pull some fuel on start up because it smoked pretty bad. But after it warmed up the lope was barely noticeable. I'll post vids of it at cold start and when warmed up.

This is the same lope tune when warmed up at operating temp. Some trucks will lose the lope like mine did...some will not.

I don't really see the point of a lope tune except for the sound. Maybe it's just me...
