500hp Bullet Proof 6.0

So I have done the tuner and obviously the truck runs great and I am extremely happy with the performance but the egt's get up there pretty high pretty quickly and im scared to really give er hell because well I dont want to kill it. But also going to the TS event and being on here gets me wanting even more power. Over the next month or so I want to get new wheels/tires/gears and harley heads. After that I dont have anything else to do outside so its power time.

So if one were to assemble a collection of parts to build a completely reliable streetable low egt powerstroke what would it include.
-studs
-tuner
-exhaust
-intercooler
-intake elbow
-turbo
-egr block off
-sticks?
- trans?
-converter?

First off, there is NO such thing as a bullet proof 6.0L I know this first hand! The list you have there is a good list. I think you are on the right track, but expect to hit a few bumps on the way. I know I have hit several with The Granny! Good luck!

He means headlights.

That list looks pretty good. If youre asking about more info on each of those though, here is my opinion.

ARP Studs
SCT (if you dont already)
Youve got the exhaust
Spearco IC
If you get an elbow, get the CFM Large Mouth
Some sort of modded VGT turbo. VGT-SS, Industrial VGT Hypo etc..
Elite has the stuff to do the EGR block
I would say 190cc sticks from Casserly
SunCoast Tranny and Converter

That should be close to 500, and pretty reliable. Spray it, and you will be over 500 for sure!

What about the banks intercooler? I found one that is a pretty decent deal but it looks like it has been painted black. Do any banks products come black? wouldnt painting it effect its output?

And thanks for the info. I know there is no such thing as no bullet proof anything but if i start dumping money into it I want it to atleast be fairly reliable. I did mean harley headlights.

I can't imagine painting it would really effect the ability to dissipate heat but I've been wrong before. I think I read somewhere that you can paint it.

Anywho... banks make GOOD products, just some seem to be priced high for what they are/do....
