hey guys n girls. just wondering if anyone knows anything about hypertechs max energy. i havent heard much about it. i wanna try it out on an 05 powerstroke. any info would be usefull. i have heard that they are safe power tunes that wont blow a stock engine. but anyways what your take on it?

i would just get the best and call it good. sct/custom tunes.

i had a hypertech i was great on fuel i gained a extra 3 to 4 mpg but it didnt have that great power. now i have sct with djs tunes its got great power but im not getting as good milage. it all bepends on what you are doing with the truck. its nice cause you can tow on max setting.

yeah, i tow alot for the farm and looking to boost milage more then get into sport tunning..... hows the max power setting for towing???

Agreed! I had an SCT, and sold for a hypertech to save some cash on fuel. It was a good choice for that reason, but did lose some power and smoke. The heaviest Ive towed on level 3 was a 18' enclosed trailer with about 5K in it, so I havent towed real heavy, I did put pedal to floor to watch temps and boost, and it still never got over 1200 degrees. Also pulled the trailer like it wasnt there at all.

thanks for all the info guys. i think ill be ordering one soon. i have a good idea im gonna test the limits of it with the 28x8 stock trailer loaded to the heap, or the JD 7520 articulate on the flat bed
