Question Looking for tuner/downloader

I already have intake and exhaust mods, but no engine mods and I'm looking for a reasonably priced tuner that will get me modest perf gains and better MPG for my 6.0. I'm not looking to shred pavement (37's are too expensive for that) or pull a sled. Everyone here seems to be big on SCT, but that seems to be more involved than I'd like. I just want something that I can "plug and play" and won't have to worry about monitoring EGT, boost, etc. Also need to make sure I can return factory program in case of warranty repairs without a lot of hassle. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

first off.... you will need gauges no matter which programmer you go with.... its just plain not smart to run any performance tuning without a set of gauges.

if you just want a completely off the shelf plug and play system i recommend the superchips or the edge evo 2

edge evo 2 comes with a set of gauges in with it so you kill 2 birds with 1 stone

that being said.. i would highly recommend to just do it right the first time and get a SCT tuner custom tuned with Innovative s tunning and a set of gauges...

Thanks Raul.

One thing I forgot to mention...
I'd also like to be able to cal my speedo for the tires and improve the shifting of the auto tranny. Do you know if the Edge will do that also?

I believe SCT has a programmer that does this. But I have never heard of the Edge doing this.

Does the sct with custom tunes have a setting for optimal mileage? Would it be better to use that that purchase the hypertech max energy e-con programmer?

Any of the SCT vendors on the site can get you custom "econo" tunes.
