SCT X3 from DJ??

Ok, I just got home from the middle east (Military) and was happy to see my new SCT from Vivian. What do I do with this thing? Is there software for it? What is my first step? I don't want to wait until tomorrow to call. I am like a kid in a candy store and want to tune now. I ordered custom tuning but I guess I have to send her my stock file first or something. Can someone help a brother out?

You have to send her you strategy.

Once you send her your strategy she will send you your custom tunes. Be careful they are awful powerful!!!!

alright dude, first thing thank you for your service and glad you are back save. second, you should be able to upload the canned tunes that are already on the x3 however I wouldn't recommend that and I think you should just wait for the custom ones. Won't even have to wait 24hrs for vivian to get you custom tunes. So the first thing you're gonna wanna do is go to the sct website SCT Automotive Performance Products then click on TECH SUPPORT then scroll down to DEVICE UPDATES & DOWNLOADS and click on that link then choose the x3 as the device and download the firmware, drivers and device update software to your computer. Then go to your truck and plug it in and get your strategy, bring a pen and paper. Now send your strategy to vivian along with the serial number on the x3, 4x4 or 4x2, manual or auto, gear ratio and revs per mile based on the size of your tires and the year of your truck. If you play around on a computer often it isn't that hard at all.

probably going to want to plug it in using a USB cable. I took an extra one I had that I used on my printer. I've never updated the firmware on my x2 but I would assume it is something done through the liveload software or possibly done directly through sct's website.

Yes, I am using the USB from one of my extra external hard drives. I got the strategy number and will just call Vivian in the AM. Thank you for the help.

Ok, I got it all working. They sent me the tunes and some directions. All I can say is wow!! I am running the street file and it is insane compared to stock. DJ's service is one of the best I have dealt with.
