Difference between FICM and SCT tunes

Whats the difference between FICM tunes and SCT tunes? If you run them both together how does that work out...if the FICM tune is already an aggressive tune and then you have a SPD SCT tune on does that conflict?

Not really a conflict. More of working together. Actually a FICM is a fuel injector control module meaning it controls the firing of your injectors. A tune on your ficm makes your throttle response a little better, give you just a bit more low end, and maybe give you a little extra fuel mileage. The Sct is a brand of a tuner for your truck which I believe tunes the power train control module or PCM. The Sct is what actually tunes the truck. The FICM tuner is just there to make your tune just a little better. So long story short lol. The FICM is a part on your truck. Not a brand of tuner. Sorry for such a lengthy post but I wanted to clarify and help.

They are two different modules that control motor functions. PCM controls the greater majority of ALL vehicle and motor functions. A FICM does one thing (so to speak) it controls the injectors.

FICM tuning loads a profile that can be used with OEM PCM tuning and custom PCM files that are loaded with a tuner device. The FICM profile is adjusted to provide better injector performance at given inputs from the PCM.

PCM tuning loads a profile that uses ALL the motor sensors and adjustable parameters to create economy or performance gains.
