Does anyone have a set of these heads? Are they ok? Where are they cast? Thanks.

I saw them on XDP: ProMaxx FOR85XN Replacement Cylinder Head

Are these the Chinese castings that make good trotline sinkers? I couldn't find out very much about them.

$800 for a fully assembled head, no core charge, these have to be Chinese castings.

This is a reliable place for 6.0 heads. UCF Machine Shop - Precision machining, engine rebuilding and more. Cummins + Ford Rebuild Specialist.

Curious about these chinese castings... how can you tell em' apart from the real deal? I can't find any 6.0 heads through my supplier links, although I did come across some Chinese Cummins and 7.3 heads.

If you look careful sometimes you might see noodles hanging out of them.

The difference in steel from china versus the U.S. is real.
I would not have imagined it to the degree it is but, just my experiences with brake rotors and wood chipper blades it is quite apparent all steel is not created equal.

01 F-350 reg cab srw 7.3
Important stuff:
Beans stage 1 injectors, Beans 6 position chip
Dieselsite ww2, boost fooler, wastegate controller
gauges, upgraded up pipes,
afe intake, 4" flow through muf w/turn out
BTS transmission, 6.0 cuuuler
35"toyo mt on 18" black kmc addicts

I spoke to Promaxx a couple minutes ago and the person I spoke to said there are no foundries in America that make 6.0 heads.
He said there are 4 major foundries in China and it depends on where you get them in reference to "quality" and assured me theirs is reliable.
They said they have made a new casting, it's a better style, and they are assembled and pressure tested at their facility.
Of course any company you call is going to tell you their product is the best, it works fine, etc.
I am only relaying what I was told and I wanted to add any information that could be helpful to the thread.

The foundry for the stock ones that came on the motor and or the ones you get from Ford are in Mexico, no secret and the steel is from the US. In my experience with cheaper Chinese made stuff, you get EXACTLY what you pay for. I wouldn't risk it with my money but should be interesting to hear from some people who have used them, never know could be good.
