Thanks everyone for the support! I would not have been able to do this if it wasn't for all of the helpful information I learned here on the ORG!

In this photo, I am assuming the '05 and up pedestal is the rusty one on the left and the '03 pedestal is on the right? Is that new one a factory Ford pedestal or something aftermarket? Nice photos and install. Will be doing this swap myself soon. You also mentioned a "Hardware kit"? What is this? Do you have part numbers for the pedestal and hardware kit? Thanks in advance!

Sorry, I no longer have the part numbers for the hardware kit. If you PM DKR he will be able to give you the exact parts list. Basically the hardware kit comes with new gaskets and o-rings for the oil drain tube. Cheap insurance, only cost me $8 from Ford.

Also, yes the 05 pedestal is on the left. The 03 pedestal is a factory OEM piece that I bought from Ford. Once again I no longer have the part numbers, but DKR does. Good luck in the swap you will love it once you get her finished. It didn' take us very long at all. Im sure if we were to do another one, we would be able to do it in an hour or so.

No worries! I think I got everything I need. Thanks for the response I got a great deal on an '03 Turbo, pedestal, hardware kit, and an FICM off Ebay. $597 for it all shipped to my door! I scored an '03 FICM with factory flash for $137.00 shipped on Ebay. When the guy acknowledged my payment he said he had other '03 parts for sale. I asked if he had an '03 Turbo and Pedestal and he did! $460 shipped. He's a Ford Diesel Tech up in Canada with his own shop. He threw in a new hardware kit for free. ;-) He's got another '03 Turbo and pedestal I believe that he said he'd sell for the same price if anyone's interested . . . PM me for his email/number.

I'm looking forward to the install. Should be doing it next weekend. Thanks again for the info!

Congrats! That is a great deal

The install is really very smooth. The only hiccup we ran into was trying to get the Y-pipe seperated from the turbo was a little difficult. We ended up prying back in it SLIGHTLY as not to crack the flex pipe section of it and was able to slide the turbo out.

Good luck with the install and I know for a fact you will enjoy the whistle, I know I do.
