smoky looney tune?

I have a looney wild loaded in my Excursion. I can have cruise set at 55 and if I hit the accelerator to pass someone I get a pretty good cloud of black smoke. I get a good puff when I start the truck and my neighbor swears she can see a faint haze while idling(I can't). Is this about normal?

I've never ran the Looney Wild, but I have ran the Looney tune and it was pretty smokey.

Yep. she will smoke if you stab it, mine wont if I roll into it but when i stick my toe in the turbo she will smoke till the turbo catches up. This is one of the reasons I dont run it very much plus I tow most of the time.

Mine is exactly the same. I mostly use the aggressive tow w/Jake and it only smokes a little when I hammer on it.

You can email Vivian and she can tweak it a little for you. She has awesome customer service and usually answers email the same day

Thanks. I love the power but this is my first tune in the Ex. I was worried I had messed something up with it.

I got studs when I had the head gaskets, oil cooler and egr done. Biggest problem I've had since is that the Sinister coolant filter setup leaks at every joint. I am going to take it out next weekend and try plumbers paste on the threads instead of tape.

I remembered my 7.3 rupturing an injector and flooding a cylinder. That's what worried me.

I ran the Looney too and had the same results. Know this every ounce of fuel she pulls out of it will take away performance, so it's a give and take.

I'm not as critical about smoke on the freeway as I am in town. I'd rather she keep it clean down low and as much as i need when i need it the most.... Passing.

Your results may vary...

Mine did the same thing. I just used a nut driver instead of a flat bead screw driver and tightened the crap out of them and they stopped dripping.
