Put in a exhaust now all I hear is turbo

I put in a 4'' turbo back with muffler and all I hear is the turbo, is that normal. When I first start it up and it's not up to temp yet it will sound like a v8 put after about 15 seconds the vanes will sweep and you will hear the turbo from then on, what should the Vgt on the insight show, and truck is a 07

The base gate guard puts a finger in his ear. I kinda feel bad, not bad enough to wire up a VGT over ride, but kinda bad.

Pretty normal, did you leave the CAT in the system?

As for VGT, 15% is fully open and 85% is closed. At idle you'll see closer to the 60% figure.
