Programmers

Hi
I have an 07 250. I am new to diesel and the forum. What advice can I get on adding a programmer for better mileage? Do they work? I am not looking to pull the sled just better mileage. I have been looking at the diablo brand.

Thanks

Ditch the idea of the diablo right now lol!

Get yourself a SCT Xcalibrator II with custom tunes from Innovative Diesel. You will gain horsepower, torque, and mpg. The SCT gives you the ability to tune your transmission as well as the engine. It is hands down the best tuner for the 6.0L Powerstroke.

By the way, Welcome to the ORG!

Also another way of improving MPG on top of the SCT is to install a quality intake and exhaust system. The more efficient the motor is the better the mpg will be.

Also just keeping your right foot in check will aid in saving fuel!

SCT xcal 3 is the way to go on the 6.0L...

you will need a set of gauges too and preferably an exhaust to keep the EGT's down. PM me if you have any questions and i will be more than happy to answer them
