New guy. Need help.
Hey. I'm new to this forum. I have a 2005 F-250 6.0L. I'm wanting to do an air intake, exhaust, and some kind of a chip/tuner. I tow a lot of big boats pretty much more than i'm not towing something, for my parents boat dealership. I'm not looking to get a ton of speed out of my truck. A little extra power when towing the real big boats would be nice. i'm mainly looking to better my gas milage. What suggestions would you guys have. Thanks in advance.

what about the Edge. on the display screen it has displays for all the gauges you were talking about. Is the SCT a lot better than the Edge. I'm not against adding gauges to read everything that would need one but think it would just look cleaner with having the one display screen.

another thing that i'm worried about it my warranty. i now have 60k miles on the truck and bought the 100k mile power train warranty. i have never had anything go wrong with this truck besides my AC control. Which was covered under the stock warranty. Is the SCT able to flash the computer to show that there was never a chip/programer in it. I don't have a problem paying for work to be done to my truck but if i could get around it and have it covered under the warranty that would be nice.

gauges first... SCT is def the way to go on the 6.0L.. your stock intake system flows more than enough air but if you really want an upgraded intake system i highly recommend the S&B intake system.
and every programmer will leave some trace behind.... just find a mod freindly dealership let me know if you have any questions -Raul |

I've had my Edge installed at 250 miles, along with an AFE intake and 4" exhaust. I have 36,000+ miles and still love it! I drive around on level 3. 4 is for race, and 5 is when you want to waste your turbo if your not careful. It is my understanding that a piggyback will leave no trace,(Edge) but a downloader will(Predator).When I took my KR350 in to get the turbo fixed, I put the Edge on 0 and left everything hooked up. They ran a diagnostic to check for computer tampering and came up 0. Anyway, free turbo@ 27,000. You just can't let off the peddle to quick!

I have an afe stage two intake, straight piped no kitty and stacks. I run an edge evo 2 now for 45,000 miles and haven't had a problem with it. I haul heavy trailers with it all the time. The guages do thier job well. just my 2 cents
