MBRP straight pipe and Turbo PSI question

I installed the MBRP PIPING lol since I went straight pipe. I have the muffler and cat if it gets too loud for me. But my concern is, I do not remember if with the stock exhaust my turbo always ran active. Now that I am straight piped my turbo is always running. When I give it gas, even a little the psi is usually at 10+. Like I said, it may always have been running when I had stock exhaust but never paid any mind to it since I never really heard it unless I ripped on it. So with a straight pipe, is the turbo always being used? If so, is that wearing the life out of the turbo? Any worries or concerns I should have?

The turbo only actuates when you apply the pedal past 50% while under 30 MPH.

Really? Going to keep an eye on it bc to me it seem it actuates at all times at all speeds. It also is running at cruising speeds on freeways

The turbo is always "running" it's whether it creates any amount of boost is that you are seeing/hearing.
