I have one on my 08 and like it.

I had an issue recently that caused the firmware to be corrupt. I found out you can load the MSD/Dashhawk firmware on it while I was searching for a way to fix it.

Now instead of 4 screens it supports 8 (actually might have been more. I dont recall right now so I have to check). Nothing to it, just downloaded and installed the different firmware. I think Edge gets this unit from MSD because there are a few spots in the Edge software that refer to it as a Dashhawk.

The newer insights have the updated software, and your right about the MSD thing in a way. MSD actually bought out Edge a while back... Oh and Ricky you will love it!!!

Both let you change the background colors.

My Edge Insight was only 1.5 months old and I had all of the software updates. It still only allowed me to configure 4 screens. This is not really a big deal though because you can very easily get everything onto 4 screens.

Agreed, you will love it. I went this route rather than mechanical gauges for 2 reasons. I didn't want to give up the handle on my pillar to put gauges there and I couldn't decide which 3 I wanted. This way I can change them on the fly.

Actually I normally leave mine on the 7 line display. But I am also the guy at work who has the resolution on the monitor set so high his coworkers cant read anything

You can also set alerts so the backlight changes color based on the thresholds you have set.
