Here are the questions of the day...First off, I was really sold on a mechanical option till I read that the Insight can do instant MPG. I don't have the nifty factory Ford display, so this is a HUGE selling point for me. Provided that it does work with our 6.0's. Anyone try it?
Two, with all the talk about factory gauges being nothing more than glorified idiot lights, does this mean that the factory sending units are inaccurate or just the gauges? Meaning, are the readings from the Insight or Dashhawk as accurate as mechanical gauges?
Finally, is it safe to say that the Attitude pod mount will work with the insight and the Dashhawk? (I like that better than the Auto Meter Pod mount)
I am sure the folks at MSD might be better suited for these questions, but you guys are always so insight-ful

Absolutely, BUT, it is nice to know what factors change MPG at any given moment....such as, 62 mph versus 64 mph. It is just one of those little things in life that make me happy.

I have the DashHawk and I like it alot. All I had to do was upload the lastest software. I don't need the EGT parameter because I already have an EGT gauge.

I just installed an Edge insight in my truck last night. I got it from innovative. I was leaning toward the Dashdaq but the insight is what Eric recommended. I was Very impressed with the install. Very clean look!

From what little I've used it so far I think I will really like it.

Yes, I did. The EGT is the main reason I got it. I decided to let a local shop put the probe in. They have it this morning putting on exhaust and intake anyway. I figured it would be easier for them on the lift.

You are going to be impressed!

If you got the A pillar mount there is one thing they don't tell you about. After you take the 8mm screws out of the handle there is still 2 little screws holding it on. After trying to fit ever screwdriver I had in there I just pulled them out. Other than that it was all good.
