You can also set alerts so the backlight changes color based on the thresholds you have set.

I thought you said you can only get 4???

You can have up to 7 lines displayed per screen. You can set up 4 screens on the Edge. Changing to the Dashhawk firmware allows me 8 or 9 screens.

Each screen can either be 2 bar graphs, 2 digital readouts, 3 readouts, 4 readouts, up to 7. So you can have different screens set up to display different combinations of things.

The only difference I saw between the 2 is the number of configurable screens.

IMO, and it's just that my opinion. There is no comparison, the Insight is much more advanced and higher evolved than the commander.

Rescuediver, you seem to be in the know on the Edge Insight. I wanted one for the truck in my sig but I am told the 99 is not supported....yet. Do you know if the dash hawk software would allow me to run it on my 99 psd? I really like the clean look, no blind spot like pillar gauges, and so much more info in one spot.

There is no comparison. The Commander in my opinion is a total POS unless you own a Quadzilla tuner and even then I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. It is very crude, many people have problems with inconsistent readings and the buttons being unresponsive. The Edge Attituded monitor has always been loved by everyone that uses it but until recently only worked with the Juice module. I have yet to hear anyone say that the Insight is difficult to use or that it has any accuracy problems.

Hopefully this summer I will be able to afford an Insight to replace my miserable Commander. The Commander works fine as long as you don't try to use the buttons or expect accurate gauge readings. The only problem I forsee with the Insight is not being able to use an OBDII scanner like AE to confirm it's readings.
