my boost

just installed boost guage and 28 pounds stock. is that good or bad? my sct should be here today. wish i knew what the boost was with the edge that i took off and sold yesterday. what boost can it safely run? 70,000 miles with never any head gasket problems and ran the edge on its highest setting the entire time.

january 2003 6.0 F-350 Lariat 4x4 cc with 08 long bed. recon cab and mirror lenses, torqueshift(reman on 9-03-09) with three disc billet convertor(500 rpm lowered stall speed),mag-hytec deep tranny pan,, 8" fabtech lift w/ 37" iroc super swampers on helos,pro comp ladder bars, custom sct x3 with tunes by eric @ innovative diesel, boost and pyro,edge insight, afe, 4" straight piped, ARP headstuds, banks intercooler & high ram intake. engine mods & maintenance by first coast diesel performance.

28 is about right for stock. It shouldn't increase too much with the sct, it depends on what tunes you run. I consider 30 psi the safe limit on my truck.

will be running the canned tunes until i have the customs from eric. getting three custom, but don't know what all to get yet. i have given them my mods, and they said once i have the sct i need to send them my strategy so they can build the tunes.

i have seen as high as 35 psi on my truck. i think upper 30's are about the limit w/out studs....etc
