Quadzilla FXZT 1000

My new to me 2004 Ford Excursion has this installed. I found documentation online ( previous owner did not install it, only knew it existed ) and found the unit and verified which one. It has a small toggle switch hidden at the bottom of the dash. It has stock, 35hp and 65 hp tunes. Does anyone know or use this set up? The truck does not have studs and is currently running the stock tune.

How does it add HP, fuel and more boost? If so I can watch it via my Scan gauge II. Should I avoid the 65hp tune without head studs? Any issues using it as far as the trans is concerned?

Thanks in advance!

I don't know anything about those programmers but 90% of people will tell you to ditch it and buy an sct to make safer hp and a lot better on your tranny then Most other tuners. I think it would be fine with that small of a tune personally but you never know. Some people run race tunes and never blow gaskets others run tow tunes and baby them and blow them.

2005 F250 crew cab lariat,

4" lift 325/65/18 tires, head studs, built trans, egr delete, powermax turbo, 58v ficm from swamps with mild flash, 4" straight pipe, sct with innovative xtreme street and race tune's, blue spring upgrade

Stage 3, 190/100 injectors, and full fuel system on the way.

I'd do exactly this. Also just food for thought, but I don't think you're going to get much help from Quadzilla if the unit goes south since they effectively closed their doors.
