i would always match, especially with Banks products, they are designed to work together.

Banks is very accurate, their reputation would suffer if they weren't honest about gains. As far as the other companies go i'm not sure, i've never dealt with them before.

Jwiger is right, the banks parts have all been engineered to work in unison. However if you do choose to mix and match parts there is nothing wrong with that either. I have a different intake, exhaust and chip on my truck and they work together greatly. (see below) I think banks can get pretty pricey though, as with many of the complete kits that single manufacturers market. Do your homework if you mix and match, and of course just look around on the forum for posts to see what people are using and getting. I'm very happy with my TS Performance chip because of it's ease of switching levels, the huge power gains, and it was a great deal at 425 bucks installed. My magnaflow exhaust was purchased at a special diesel show price for 410 bucks and fit together flawlessly, sounds tremendously badass and it's stainless! I couldn't find a banks kit at the show for less than 550. As for my intake, that's nothing to brag about. I bought a stupid true flow, which consisted of nothing more than a replacement filter that goes in the stock airbox, and a replacement piece between the air box and turbo inlet that wasn't even larger than stock. I bought it right after I got my truck and listened to the salesman instead of doing my own research. I'm getting and AFE gen II shortly which with all the research i've done on it, i'm comfortable putting a few bucks down for it.....hope this helped!
