Turbo Silencer Rings

I know that on a Cummins you can remove the silencer ring from the turbo. I have been told that it can be done to the 6.0 turbos. Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, is there a write up on it? I would like to do it to my truck if it can be done.

I have they cannot be removed, and yet I have heard that the 03s are removeable, but not easily.

I know that you can get a good whistle with the 04s, and the great whistle with the 03s.

That is what I am wanting is more whistle. I originally had the cat and muffler removed but it had more of a cackle than whistle. Now I have a turbo back with muffler. Has some whistle but not enough.

07 to 03 Turbo Swap

04+ are machined in... the 03's I heard you can remove since they're pressed in
