exhaust sound

Just wondering....I just installed a 4" exhaust from the turbo down with no cat and mufflers. This is my first diesel too. How is it suppose to sound like? Mines sounds like air is just rushing out when it sits at idle then the tone changes from air rushing out to low tone for about 2seconds then goes back to the sound of air rushing out. Is that normal? I got the diamond eye exhaust. I was thinking of getting the connections all welded instead of clamps. lmk guys thx

That's what my truck sounded like with a resonator. I also had a leaking up pipe though, so I'm not sure if its supposed to whistle entirely at idle or only at higher RPMs. If you have the exhaust welded you won't be able to remove it without cutting it like the stocker, just keep that in mind.

it is completely normal it is the turbo doing a vein sweep, keeps the turbo from getting gunked up with soot
