Downpipe question

I have a 2004 F250 cc short bed, what is benefit of installing a new downpipe versus just doing cat back, looking at 4" turbo back and have heard that unless you have chip and intake you may actually loose low end torque by changing downpipes?

a 4 inch downpipe will lower your EGT's a bit and help with turbo spool up...

You won't really loose power, it may shift the power band up a hundred rpm's or so until you get some more fuel from a programmer.
