in the process of installing sump. need help

I'm in the process of installing a sump and have a few questions. Already drained the fuel and installed the sump. (beans diesel) I'm running a AD 2 btw. Do I need to drop the tank to disconnect the supply line? It's tucked up between the frame and the fuel tank tight. How do I block off the line once disconnected? Tried searching for detailed installs but couldn't come up with anything. Any help would be much appreciated. Pics would be good too. Thanks for any help in advance.

I just abandoned that line and put a bolt inside it with a hose clamp.

If the tank is empty just lower the tank enough to get your hands in there.... Piece of cake. use 2 jack stands and a jack. Easy peasy..

Is there enough slack on the fill tube to keep it connected? How do I go about blocking off the supply line to the tank?

Finished it up a lil while ago. Used a 3/8 compression fitting with a male adapter and a cap to block off the line from the tank. Thanks for all of the help guys. Took way too long from start to finish but i'm guessing it's about a 30 minute job once all the fuel is drained. Wasn't that bad looking back on it. Just didn't know what the hell I was doing. Lol. Thanks again.
