I would give DJ or Vivian a call and just ask them...

I was wondering the same thing. Live in Edmonton also and this was one of my concerns. Now if I can just get the GF to stop buying stuff I can get around to ordering my SCT. Freshly paid off credit card just begging for an SCT tuner and then wham..$6000 spent at Ikea for a new..well everything.

I believe they offer tunes with a cold fix to help out when starting the truck in cold weather

If you plan to go with DJ he doesn't recommend Looney tune use in temps below 30 I believe. I have run IDP's Xtreme Race in temps down to 10 degrees with no real problems. I wouldn't recommend the real extreme tunes below 30 either. It takes real self control to not romp on it before everything comes up to full operating temperature. Continued abuse of a high powered tune on a cold engine/tranny is going to cause serious problems. It's easier to just run the Street tune and not take the chance.

I have been told the same thing about DJ's tunes. I always ran Innovative Diesel also, and in pa it gets down to 5 or even lower, and I never had a problem on Extreme Race. I ran that all the time. You should call DJ and ask for yourself what he recommends.

I do know for a fact that the cold fix Looney is lower hp. My Xtreme Race starts fine to 10 degrees with no lost power.
