egr delete and oil filter bypass??

I just recently purchased an '03 6.0, with 28,000 miles on it. Got plans to do an exhaust and other goodies. I really want to make sure this gets done right I know before going to far I should really do the headstuds, but what I'm really interested in is a egr delete and a oil filter bypass. Who and what companies make the best possible products for this. I really want this thing to be bulletproof. With that said will I need a tuner for egr delete? I'm sure that's got to trip a code...also I think Ford flashed my truck the last time it was there read somewhere that this could be a problem. One last thing, know I'm asking a lot but, drivetrain bulletproofing??? I'm kinda new to this stuff so be patient with me haha thanks guys

The VERY FIRST investment should be a monitor system. This will tell you where possible issue to be fixed. If/when you find any issues, then it would be a good time to upgrade any OEM parts to the updated parts.

Please read the following links, and also read the stickies.
Things to consider about owning a 6.0L

Write Up: Monitoring the 6.0L PSD.

Write Up: Bullet-Proofing the 6.0L PSD.

You have an 03, when/if you do a EGR delete, you won't get a CEL. The newest PCM strategy you will have is the VXAP2, not really the greatest for MPG. Also with this strategy, if you unplug the EGR valve electrically, you will disable the turbo vane sweep at idle.
