SCT Problems
Hey guys. So I just got my new SCT Livewire the other day. The problem is that when I go to install it, it throughs a '1018 Failed Read Stragity'. Any ideas as to what this may be? SCT told me it was installer error, but I don't think thats the problem. Thx for your help.

I cant believe you ditched your edge bro. Oh well i guess the mini fridge is what you got in there now. j/k . Did you drive your truck around for a while after you took the edge off. To clear some stuff off the pcm. or did you just take the edge and then right away installed the livewire?

No I drove the truck for awhile. Man it sucks. I've been thinking about doing a hard reset to see if that helps.

try unplugging both batteries and see if that helps....

Well they say that you have to drive around 100 miles to clear up anything that was left on the pcm. Maybe giving it a hard reset will be the only way to go with trying to get you fixed up. Hope you get your problem fixed soon buddy. I know they gave you sh!t so long for not having one and now that you have one it doesnt want to work. What crap.

disconnect batteries turn everything on and your good to go i ran 5 chips in my truck so far never had a problem when i did that

Well it turns out that the Livewire itself was the problem. We had an extra XC3 laying around so we installed that one and it worked. What a difference, even with just the factory tunes. Oh that reminds me I have a fairly new Edge Juice Platinum with Attitude for sale. Cheap.

I wish I could make Pismo, but I have family stuff I have to take care of. I bummed though cause I know its going to be a blast.
