SCT tunes

Has anyone actually compared say the looney tune, innovative extreme street , and or elites insanity, on the same truck. Just curious, would maybe like to try some other tunes, thanks

I'm sure plenty have. Although, I doubt they will publicly state their opinion about pros and cons they experienced between each tune. That's just me. Considering eric and dj both post here. Try doug at gogodiesel.com. May have to wait a little while for tunes but I've heard great things.

Yeah probably true, ( im sure they all run great and are pretty comparable)Not tryin to step on any toes here, just curious what kind of differences there are in the different tuners. I havnt heard of gogo, ill have to check it out, thanks for the info

I think doug's site is down right now but if you go over to compd and find abrannan19 and pm him he can get you doug's number. He has no names or info on his tunes on his site you just tell him what you want and how much hp and he'll make you the tune.

I have run DJ's once. I have compared Innovative and Elite on the Dyno...very similar numbers, but Erics trans tuning is better. I have been in a couple trucks that have tunes from Doug...they compare to Innovative Diesel. I have run Matt at Spartan...lots of power, but the trans wasn't there to get it to the ground. When I was in the buisness I tried many, but I would only run Innovative or Doug @ Go Go on my truck. Then again I'm just one person, and thats my 2 cents.

I don't think the tuners are going to mind if we post up our thoughts. There is enough inter-truck variability that it's really more of an art from what I understand. The same tune on two different trucks with the same motor and set up will give widely differing results.

My guess is that the best way to get the best tune is to pay for personalized tuning. I imagine any one of the popular tuners on this board could make your truck sing if they were able to put hands on it, rather than trying to tune it from a few hundred, or thousand, miles away over the internet....
