My truck runs like crap when the motor is cold and if i plug her in shes fine. I checked the FICM last year and the volts were good, and gave up on fixing it.
I just got the Edge Evolution chip and am getting some DTC codes. Have y"all seen any of these and what do i need to do?

Codes
Exhaucst gas recirculation sensorb circ lo

P0488: EGR throttle pos ctrl range/perf

P2290: Injector ctrl press too low

U0306: Software incornpatibity with FICM

Welcome to the org!!

First we need to know that mods are done to the truck. Those codes could be set from a EGR delete and the FICM code could be from a FICM reflash, but won't know until you give as much info on the truck as possible.

Also, is it a early build 04 or late build 04. The early 04's have the 03 motor in it, and it's common for the ICP sensor behind the turbo to leak or wire damage.

EGR codes could be a stuck EGR valve or bad valve, give it a cleaning and clear the codes.

The P2290 can be caused from a faulty ICP sensor, which is common on the 03 motor. Look for oil leaking from sensor and look for damage to the wires and plug, if wires are damages or brittle, the ford dealer sells a wire harness kit to fix issue, if sensor has oil leaking from it, replace sensor also.

The U0306 is harmless, it just means the FICM software doesn't match the PCM software. Maybe the past owner replaced FICM with a late 04 or 05-07 FICM, or was programmed with the wrong software. To correct this, you can have the dealer program the FICM software to match the PCM or contact PHP.

Lilpooh was spot on with the codes.

before we start discussing options, what type of evolution do you have? Basic, CS, or CTS?

Good!

We can turn your EGR code off on your truck's ECM and rewrite your FICM with the proper code.

Look through our website www.phptune.com

If you have any questions just let me know!

I found it. Thanks to YouTube. The icp plug had some oil inside the plug, but not a round it. Also no oil around the sensor.
