Monster Box trans

Anyone heard of Monster Box transmissions? The guy at my local performance parts place had nothing but good things to say about them. I've heard they're just as good as ATS and Suncoast but much cheaper. Any thoughts or opinions?

They are NOT as good as those companies. Every one that I know has said that it took at least three or four trannies before they got one that would last any time.

As a former installer and seller of Jasper products, I can tell you that they claim it will hold 500rwhp. I spent some time on the phone with Jaspers Tech dept asking tons of questions about this trans since I had an E4OD in mine and plan on gettin a little more power out of mine and I also had a truck in the shop at the time that is a true workhorse and we were trying to find a trans that would last in it. I never did get one due to the fact that they had not re-released for the third time as of Oct. 07. I can also tell ya that Jasper has bought, tested, and taken apart some of the other performance transmissions out there to see what is being done and upgraded. I am not endorsing their product, jsut passing along what I know.

The trans in a Intrepid is junk no matter what you do to it. Chrysler has never buuilt a good trans since the 727 IMO. Honestly though, I'm guessing you got lemons or there was something else wrong. Hard to beat their warranty now, 3yrs 100k last I knew.

This thing is a POS. after 9 months of daily driving 1 sledpull and 11 trips down the 1/4 the torque converter took a crap. sounded like someone dragig their nails down a chalk board. And Jasper's warranty service sucks. its been 2 weeks since ive dropped it off at h shop and they are still waiting for a replcement part.

Since this is in a 6.0 section I'm guessing you have the 5sp. Get a BTS or John Wood trans and if you are thinking of really making HP then do what the big boys do install a BTS or JW 4sp.auto.
