low fuel pressure

hey guys,

Here lately my fuel pressure is getting low at idle and hard acceleration, im thinking my factory fuel pump is getting weak.

I have the blue spring mod and my fuel filters have only about 5k on them, thats what leads to think my factory pump is getting weak.

What are your guys thoughs. My fuel pressure is between 62-64 and use to hold strong at 68 at idle

It sounds like the pump is on it's way out but I could also be that the fuel filters are getting clogged. I would replace the filters first before doing the pump.

pump for sure. Mine did that then went as low as 20 psi

Late 04 f350 lariat.

marty's regulated return
205/75 injects from holder's
WPE stage 3 ported intake
64.5 borg warner fmw ,compounds in the works now! Comp turbo set up
Warren comp trans
all the typical mods

Around 30 for a spilt second than maybe jump back to 50psi

I would say replace it. Better to replace the pump now than replace injectors later. Don't get an AirDog 2

When I replace should i go with a factory motocraft pump. Or is there better aftermarket pumps out?

I went with a whole new ford hfcm assembly- tousely ford cant beat it.
