5R110 PCS controller for you NON SCT'S!!!!!

Im trying to find a 5R110 transmission controller to up the pressures and stuff these guys are coming out with one soooooooooon! check them out

Hmmmm, $700 for a tranny controller or a hair over $400 for an SCT that does everything the tranny controller does and more...

yeah its high on price but granted it will be better, Theres a thread on the two on powerstrokeworld.com. SCT is great, im not saying its not but some ppl don't have SCT for there 6rs. And i don't know asking don't you need livewire for transmission control? And just asking another question! Don't you think all the goods SCT comes with for that price theres a gab somewere? i just want the best trans controller out there And if i have to run SCT i will, just doing some research for everone

No, the SCT with custom tunes allow the tuner to adjust all the transmission parameters to your liking. The livewire plugs into your OBD II port and reads some of the stock sensors and gives you a digital display.

I'm not trying to bash on the device, but can't see it performing better than the SCT, especially since it is almost double the Xcal3 price and doesn't improve your engine efficiency or performance.

The PCS controller is great for a Cummins swap or the like, where you will be removing the stock computer.

However, you won't find more trans control with an aftermarket device than the Ford programming. The 6.0L trucks have a seperate transmission computer that is as complex as the engine computer. It is one of the most sophisticated transmission control systems to date.

Man that thing is really cheap for a stand alone controller considering there's really no competition. It's not needed with the 6.0 and an SCT, but it would be a godsend for anybody swapping an engine or for the 7.3 guys with the 4R100.

I don't know if i end up getting that when it comes out and i blow the 6.0 up just give it back to them and program it for something else lol. Im just curious to see what that set up will do for the tranny
