New parts to the test
I took my first road trip with all my new parts. The power is great for towing, passing and just showng off. However, if I can' get this truck above 13 MPG my wife is going to drive me crazy.
Nothing ruins the sweet sound of a 5" turbo back like my wife *****en about how much money I spend on diesel every week I ordered my custom tunes today should be emailed tomorrow. Will that get me up to 19 MPG average? |

Possibly,,The trick is to keep your foot out of the skinny pedal. It's a tough line to tread.

I doubt it unless you do only highway driving. I have a reg cab and I only average 18 mpg.

Who's tunes did you go with? I'm just curious and it won't have anything to do with your mileage... I'm assuming that isn't your towing mileage. Mine's about 8mpg when towing my 12k toy hauler on my tow tune and about 14mpg when I'm driving around town.

I was pushing around 19 pre-lift and tires with a crew cab short bed......but I do drive ALOT of highway miles, but I drive "spirited" sometimes! haha
Hard to keep your foot from depressing that go-pedal too far when back pushes into the seat like it does. |

On the highway at about 65 to 70 i avg about 18 to 17 mpg's. including my lift and 37's. Im running the banks tuner right now. if i set it all the way up i get about 19 sometimes 20 mpg's. city driving i get about 13 to 14 mpg's and smashing on it i get about 12 to 10 mpg's.
