Canned tunes on the SCT

Are they as safe on the truck as the custom tunes. I had been talking with my wife about getting one and she thought she would surprise me and bought me a Livewire from a local dealer. I havent put it in the truck yet because i just got it back from the dealer. They replaced 3 injectors because of a miss and or surging in the mornings and its still doing the same thing. So I am waiting till its fixed correctly to install.

i think they are actually safer than the custom tunes, but i have heard some people say that they were worse than stock (performance wise), remember the head gaskets can blow on a stock truck......so quit worrying and get that SCT installed and punish your tires!

With the price of fuel i cant afford to punish my tires. I going to have to park the dang thing pretty soon.

IMO, canned tunes suck. I've heard of some issues with them....I've also heard of some good things. More bad things though.
