There are a couple guys that run hot tunes on a non studded truck. No issues at all... Its all in the driver.

I have Xtreme Race for my truck, I didn't like the light switch effect, the smoke, or that SRL went about a tenth quicker in the 1/4.

I ran the biggest tunes I could with my 6.0 unstudded. SPD, SRL+X Extreme or whichever it was called, RCD Hot race tune. Biggest I could. Not one problem with head gaskets.

Well I ran SPD's studded tune with stock head bolts and it wasn't to long after that I was putting studs in my truck. I was planning on studding my truck anyways, so it didn't bother me. I think it's a crap shoot with whether stock head bolts will hold up or not.

All depends on how you drive.

im just looking for something a little different for my truck. I dont beat my truck day in and day out. I take care of it. just for the fact i dont want to drop the cash on studs if i dont have to. i want to do it. just got some other things to do before had. might just order them and see how it runs.

I just got the xtreme from innovative (415rwhp/730rwhp) along with 2 tow tunes and I have factory studs. I have to agree with "it's all in the driver". My wife says a drive like an old man, but I get on it roughly twice a day without trying to push it to the max each time. Little bit of smoke, little bit of guilt, but I'm confident that without always running it hard... It'll be just fine!
