Tell us a little more about what you plan to tow. I've been towing around 6k and I'm getting by if I'm careful. But when I start towing some heavy loads this summer I think I'll be in trouble. I would say the 190's are to much for the hybrid towing or not. Mods in my sig.

I tow 190/100's with a pmax and gearheads got it dialed in pretty well to tow decently. Youll be fine to tow. Only thing i dont like is my airdog. On 3rd one. Wish i had a tsd fuel setup

I would go with the 175/30's with an MTW Hybrid. That will give you a good all around setup. 190/50's won't kill you but you are likely to have to pull fuel to keep egt's and smoke down and I personally don't like tuning that way.

Okay, since we are talking about this, what would be the difference when towing with 155/30, 175/30 or 190/30? They all should run almost the same on the same tow tune essentially, no?

If they were all built the same with different core sizing, with the same PW you couldn't tell the difference.

Okay that's kinda what I thought. The PW in combination with the nozzle size dictates the power out put more than the body size, at least for the sake of a tow tune tune when you don't need full fuel.

The whole purpose of custom tuning is to tune the truck to your needs. If you get a bigger injector, for the towing the pull the fuel back give you exhast brake ect.. For your specific application. Then when your not and its all play you load your full fuel srl like i have and its all play and great mpg's. You can always detune a little for towing and not when your playing. So in my opnion if your spending the money get the nastiest setup you can.

I believe tuning is what brings everything together. I have 190/100s and just a regular MTW Stage 1 with a billet wheel on my truck and Chris's SPD tune (same tune I used with a Stage 3 to hit 605hp on Bill's dyno last year) and I believe I could easily tow 5-6k lbs here where I live in the hills of WV. Perhaps the timing is too far advanced because it is a race tune so towing heavy is probably out, but it just keeps reminding me how tuning can do A LOT for mis-matched parts.

Subscribed.this is definetly of interest to me,because I am thinking 155/30s but the 175's are still in my mind.
