tune temps and smoke

so i just got myself an SCT Livewire TS with IDPs custom tunes.. its all in my signature.. i was wondering should i be blowing out a bit of black smoke when i'm really giving her some on the throttle? and what are your guy's average temps running the aggressive street tune.. my deltas are good the temps just seem steep over 200* for me.. maybe exhaust is in order? and anyone got a guess on these tunes for Crank HP/TQ?

I got my SCT a couple weeks ago and I seem to be blowing more black smoke than previously when I lay into her some. I assume it's normal with the tune, though I'm also new to it. My temps seem to be running ok though. I'm sure someone here has some some more long term experience with it, just thought I chime in with my limited experience since loading my tune.

It will smoke due to more fuel coming in than the turbo can handle. Cruising, the ect should be what it was on the stock tune, but going up hill, it should run a little hotter due to more fuel per the same throttle input. More fuel=more heat.

Nothing to worry about.

I wouldn't worry until I got to around 215 ish ...buy conditions play a large large factor...loaded vs unloaded...flat ground vs mountains.. ambient temps...

Yes, and IDP tunes are some of the smokiest.

Those temps sound normal and good. Mine stays around 190/195 in the winter and 195/200 in the summer. But running up Steam Valley Mountain rt 15 in PA, about 8-1/2 miles with a pretty good grade, at 85-90 MPH, my truck will run up to about 210/215. Guys towing pull those kind of temps all the time. As long as your deltas are good, you're nowhere near temps that should make you worry. Of course if the temps don't come back down in a fairly short period of time once you get out of it, then you may want to start checking things out.
