Question New owner. How to know if the truck has a tune.

I just picked up an 06 on Tuesday. The truck has a 4" exhaust, cold air intake and EGR delete. It also has the SCT emblem on the side of the truck. So I'm thinking the previous owner might have tuned it. But how do I know for sure? I want a tuner but don't want to waste money.
Also with the EGR deleted the CEL is NOT on.

It definitely scoots. But compared to what I was driving, a Prius would be faster. But is there a definitive way to say yes it has been tuned?

Just because it may have a tune on it, doesn't mean it is the tune you may want. The easiest way is to get a monitor, which you should get regardless, and notice the PW (pulse width), injector timing, the boost, and perhaps the vane position on the turbo. If it is tuned you will probably see a wider PW (greater than 1.4-1.6ms) and advanced injector timing (6* or greater BTDC). Stock timing would be about 2*ATDC to about 5*BTDC.

Your options if tuned are to get a reflash to stock from Ford or whomever you buy a programmer from (not all can do this), use your current tune as your base tune (might not be appropriate), or just use custom tunes based on the strategy you have.

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'm gonna get a monitor. I think my FICM might be going to crap.
