Help ! Under the Truck Tranny Solenoid Swap???

Which one controls the shift firmness or 3-5 Flare and which one fixes the Rev shutter

That's the direct clutch solenoid, you will want to replace it with a epc solenoid.

The one you want to change is in the row closest to te rear end, it's the one in the center.

I have 2 Sol's from MTS the instructions don't say which is which real vague, i'll include a pic of sols and instructions.

It appears to remove 2 and 6.

Well I'm pretty sure the direct solenoid controls the 3-5 shift AND reverse. I'm nut sure what other one they sent you. If your supposed to change the epc solenoid I think you have to drop the wire harness and valve body.

huh? rev shutter?

Direct solenoid is the middle in the row of 3 and is the solenoid you replace if you have shift flare on the direct. The EPC solenoid is underneath the solenoid body and controls shift pressures. This EPC can be used in the direct spot by turning it until it slides in all the way.

You can clearly see on the packaging that one solenoid is for the direct or coast clutch and the other solenoid is for the torque converter clutch/ OD clutch/ or low-reverse clutch.

The one on the left goes in the direct slot (middle in the row of three)

Still trying to figure out wtf rev chatter is
