Truck to the dealer

As a few of you know I had some problems with my SCT and I had to take the truck to the dealer to get a reflash. One of my buddies who works up there, is thinking that since I reloaded the stock file and the truck still woudln't start or anything that the PCM is fried. They said they would try to reflash it first and see if it would start then if not he would figure out what was wrong with it. But the fun story was I had to call a tow truck to get my truck to the dealer, and I told him what kinda of truck I had and they brought a F450 with a V10 in it, rollback. While Im sure this would have been fine if I had my truck parked the other way in the driveway but I had my front end up against my garage door, so he loaded it with my bed towards his cab. So once the truck got loaded on the bed just fine(with only 2 inches to spare) he went to slide the bed back up onto his frame. Needless to say apparent my diesel out weighed his V10 and his front tires are sitting 3 feet off the ground. So as he procced to keep pulling he eventually leveled back out, but his dually wheels which were fully inflated were down to only an inch of rubber between the rims and the road. He got the truck there some how without any problems but man im sure he was pairy dogging it the whole way, on steep hill and that sucker was coming up. So hopefully the reflash would work, but now im quite hesitant about wanting to put my SCT in or just leave it sitting on my desk.

Man, that didn't sound good at all. At least your truck made it safe and sound! It sounds like a replacement PCM and you'll be all set. I wouldn't worry about it; just another one of those things that goes bad every once in a while... Good luck!

i had a bully dog do the same thing to me. i went to return it to stock and nothing. no relays came on or nothing. they ( ford ) couldnt even get their testers to communicate withmy PCM. so it was replaced. did you ever try to contact whoever writes your tunes to see if they could help?? this was one of my concerns when i bought my SCT and they assured me they would be able to do something to fix it.

ya i got in contact with Defusers, and Bill was a great help, even on a sunday he tried to help me figure it out and tried to write me some test tunes but it was a no go. Then i called SCT and i was pretty pissed about having to be on hold for 48 mins just to talk to someone they were no help. So i had to no choice but to take it to the dealer. Luckly one of my buddies work there so hopefully i wont get ripped off. He said he would try a reflash and see if that works, but he thinks the PCM is shot. Rwalker, do you have any idea what the cost of your PCM was? My truck is already out of warrenty so i have to flip the bill myself and would like some idea

Well this story has a happy ending, my buddy just called and appently he couldn't reflash it because i had erased all the factory defults so he had to go in manualy and tell each sensor what was suppost to read. Then he could reflash and Its up and running. Only charging me one hour of labor, so after 120 dollar tow and 85 for an hour of labor, Im pretty stoked, I get it back tomorrow and hopefully try my SCT again(cross your fingers)
