New Build

I'm going to attempt a bullet proof build (or at least semi/bullet proof). I've got an 05 f350 super duty lariat 4x4 6.0 with edge juice w/attitude, k&n intake & 4" magnaflow exhaust (& only 50k miles). All which came with her when I bought her, but did just add the Dash Boss.

I've got a few issues & a few ?'s.

The rpm's really fluctuate at idle & low speeds, no throttle response for a couple seconds, then she'll kink in & has even died a few times as the rpm's dropped off (crank no start once for about 15 mins). But, this only occures about 1/3 of the time I'm driving. Usually runs just fine. Now that I've got the dash boss, any suggestions on what to watch for? Any thoughts???

Second issue: venting from the degas. It's happened 3 times only on steep incline & only when towing flatbed w/ the quads.

Here's the upgrades I'm planing on attempting (after the encouragement I've received watching y'all help others on this forum).
Restore & restore plus flush, replace w cat-1 elc
BPD oil cooler (new version vs old condenser mount???)
BPD egr cooler (I live in Cali.)
BPD pro pack
Blue spring
Arp studs leave gaskets (twoicebergs did it)???
Sct fitting
Fuel pressure transducer for the dash boss

I only take the truck out a few times a month, I'm not into pushing the limits or 1/4 mile drags, but do pull trailers at times in 100*+ California sun.

Any input would be much appricated!!!

I would replace your degas bottle cap and see if it pukes still when you pull bpd oil cooler and arp studs best things for making it more reliable

Sounds like you have a possible head gasket issue. I guess I would figure out if the gaskets are compromised before I bothered with the one at a time method for the studs. They aren't going to fix a blown gasket and you'll be doing it again for sure.

Its possible and I have nothing against trying the one at a time method. I would just make dang sure before I wasted my time and had to tear it apart twice. Do you know what your oil/water delta is? Might want to figure out the driveability issues before you go crazy with the other stuff also.
