help with engine performance and smoke

ok so before all of you jump on me about wanting to blow black smoke i get that it is a prefferance thing and that some hate it but im not on here looking to hear why its stupid i just want answers to my questions. and no i will not smoke out every intersection i just want it for when i am messing around with the guys and maybe to say hi to fellow diesel smokers on the road.

ok now i am trying to decide on what i want to do and i want black smoke along with performance and maybe gas mileage.

so i want to know how to get these things i read about one guy who did the egr delete and exhaust and oil cooler and cai and a smokey programmer. does this actually work and how much smoke will i actually get? i called on a price for that from a local diesel shop and they said that will cost about $2500.

is that the cheapest way? also is there another way maybe more expensive but if i go more expensive im looking to get alot for my money. please help!

Most good tuners any more will not build a smoke tune. Some will never do business with you at all if you even ask for a smoke tune. Just throwing that out there.

Why? If you already know this isn't a smoke friendly site, why when even ask?

You should start off with a monitor solution, you may be spending some of that projected $2500 toward getting your motor healthy.

Here are some links to get you updated.
